Our DIY Bird Seed Ornaments Are Strictly For The Birds!

It’s the fall season and time to make Bird Seed Ornaments!  As the weather turns colder and there is a chill in the air, I love watching the birds gather their last worms before the ground becomes to hard to access.  In order to keep birds flocking to our home, I thought of making bird seed ornaments that are good for the birds as they head into winter.

Bird seed ornaments are easy to make in your kitchen and are fun for kids to enjoy.  Once the hungry birds have gobbled these up, you can always make another batch.  Or, alternatively, you can freeze and thaw them for the dead of winter months that lie ahead.

How To Make Bird Seed Ornaments

Making bird seed ornaments is a lot like baking up a treat in your kitchen.  Kids love creating bird seed ornaments in many shapes by using different cookie cutters.  We made a star shape, but have also enjoyed making Christmas holiday shapes such as gingerbread men, Christmas trees, mittens and snowmen.  Hang them on tree branches and watch as the birds flock to your home this holiday season.
